Sardius EMLA Encoder Troubleshooting

Pairing the Encoder

Error: no cluster exists for this accountId.

This error indicates that your account has not been configured to utilize Sardius EMLA Encoders. Please contact your Sardius Account Manager.

Live Streaming

If you have a live stream scheduled, and your channel is not live, log into your Sardius Channel's calendar and observe the Live Event Manager.

streamOffline

Click the name of your encoder, and it will pull up a control modal.

streamStart

If you see a warning box that encoder is missing the configuration, click the "Start Encoder Channel" button. Wait 5-10 seconds before clicking it again. If it was successful, you will see this message:

streamStarting

If you see a different error, such as this one, you may need to verify that the cable you are trying to use contains an active video signal.

streamInput

If it does, and the error remains, please contact Sardius Support.

Stream Status

On both the Channel's Stream Status Page, and on the Control Modal from the Live Event Manager, you can track and monitor the health of your stream.

streamStatus

  • Stream Health - Indicates whether a streaming configuration was successfully created on your encoder
  • Output Health - Indicates if there is an issue between your encoder and your output destination, such as connecting to Sardius Stream or Entrypoint
  • Input Health - Indicates if there is an issue with your video input signal going to your encoder.

If any of these are red, then the issue could be isolated to that area. If you need assistance in understanding these errors when they occur, please contact Sardius Support.

Ethernet Connections

When paired, your encoder has been set to deliver all streaming traffic through a specific interface. If this interface loses its connection (unplugged cable, offline network switch or router, etc.), then your encoder will not be able to utilize an alternative port.

The specific interface will have been indicated on the Quick Start Guide included with your encoder purchase, or it will have been pointed out to you during your configuration call with Sardius Support.

If you need to utilize a different interface than what was configured, contact Sardius Support.
