Common Settings (Collection 2.0)

Common Settings are the text and image options that appear throughout your Collection 2.0 layout. They cover things like the placeholder text inside the search bar, the label on the watch button, the message shown when no results are found, and even the images that appear when a watchlist is empty. Think of Common Settings as the “voice” of your site. By updating them, you can make your layout feel more personal, clearer for your audience, and consistent with your organization’s messaging.

Master Feed ID

This feed will power the entire site and include all the video content you would like to show for this site. In addition, based on the assets in this feed, the site will build its categories, series, tags, etc.

Enable Overlays

Overlays allow you to interject images and/or clickable ads into the player while your event is live.

By default, Overlays are enabled. To disable Overlays, click the toggle switch to OFF.

Enable Active Sessions

Active Sessions allow you to manage your registered viewers. Much like popular streaming services, this feature helps deter your viewers from sharing their password with someone else. If this feature is enabled, you will be able to control how many active sessions a user can have at one time. If the viewer's account is logged into too many sessions, the user is shown a list of active sessions and given the option to disconnect one or all sessions in order to access the site.

By default, Active Sessions is disabled. To enable this, click the toggle switch to ON.

Font Families (combine Google & Typekit here)

Collection 2.0 supports using font families from public libraries such as Google and Typekit. To add any font that is available in those libraries, simply type in the name of the font. You can also add different weights for that font by adding a colon after the name of the font and then entering the weights separated by commas. Once you have typed in your selection, hit Enter or Return on your keyboard to add your font.

Examples:

  • Font only:  Montserrat
  • Font with weights:  Montserrat:400,200

When you add weights, you’re telling the system to load multiple styles of that font. Each number corresponds to a “weight,” which affects how thick or thin the letters look.

    • 100 → Thin / Hairline

    • 900 → Black (very heavy)

Montserrat:400,200 → loads both the Regular weight (400) and the Extra Light weight (200).

This allows you to use both in your design—e.g., lighter text for captions and normal text for body copy.

You can customize your font families for primary fonts and headings. You can add any standard font (Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana, Tahoma, etc.) as well as any Google or Typekit font that you previously added to your Font Families.

To add your new font to these sections, add the font with apostrophes to both sides.

Example: 'Montserrat', 'Inter', 'Roboto', 'Arial', 'sans-serif'
