Home Page (Collection 2.0)

The Homepage is the first section viewers see when they visit your Collection 2.0 layout. It acts as the “front page” of your video library and can display rows of content such as series, topics, or special categories.

For example

You might choose to display a Resume Watching row first so users can easily pick up where they left off, followed by a Series row, and then custom categories like Creativity, Leadership, or Food. You have full control over which rows appear here and the order they are shown.

You can

  • Add new rows by clicking + Add.
  • Reorder rows by dragging them up or down in the list.
  • Rename or edit rows by clicking the pencil icon
  • Delete rows you don’t want by using the menu on the right.

By default, the Homepage will display your available collections in the order they were created, but customizing this order is recommended to highlight your most important content first.

Row Specifics Breakdown:

Enabled:

Toggles the entire row on or off.

By default, rows are enabled when you create them. Switch this OFF if you want to temporarily hide the row without deleting it

Title:

The title text that appears above the section on the homepage. This is how users will see and identify the row (e.g., “Resume Watching,” “Leadership,” “Messages”).

By default, this is set to the name you chose when creating the row, but you can change it at any
time.

Note: Titling a row will cause the name to appear on your homepage. So if you would prefer no name for any section, just leave the title blank.

Section Type:

Determines what kind of content will appear in the row. This is what links the row to a particular source or behavior on your site. Examples include:

  • Hero Slider
Displays a large, full-width featured slider (typically at the top of the page.) This is ideal for highlighting featured content, announcements, or events.

  • Assets Slider
Shows a horizontal row of all assets in your library in a scrollable carousel format. Perfect for spotlighting a single category or series.

  • Vertical Assets Grid
Displays assets together in one vertical, scrollable section. Setting Specifics below.

    • Max Items Per Row - This setting determines how many asset cards will appear side-by-side in each row of the grid. Increasing the value adds more cards per row, while lowering it spaces them out for a larger visual presentation. Adjusting this helps you control the visual density of your collection layout and how users browse through content.
By Default this is set to Max Items Per Row - 4

Note: The Max Items Per Row setting only affects screens wider than 1140 px. On smaller devices, the layout automatically adjusts — it will try to honor both your maximum items and minimum card width settings, but once the screen becomes too narrow, it will switch to showing fewer cards based on the minimum width instead.

    • Minimum Card Width - Card Width sets the smallest possible width that each asset card can shrink to before wrapping to a new line. This ensures your layout remains visually balanced across different screen sizes and devices. Increasing the width makes each card larger but may reduce the number of cards visible per row. This is especially useful for maintaining readability of titles and thumbnails.
By Default this is set to Minimum Card Width - 200

Note: If no values are set for these two fields, items will display in a single column (one after another).

    • Categories Query - The Categories Query filters which assets appear in this section based on their assigned categories. You can select one or multiple categories, and only assets that match those tags will display in the grid. This is an easy way to group content thematically—such as by topics like “Creativity,” “Food,” or “Nature."

    • Speakers Query - Speakers Query filters assets according to the selected speakers. When you add one or more speakers, only assets featuring those individuals will appear. This is helpful for creating speaker-specific libraries or highlighting messages from certain contributors on your platform.

    • Albums Query - Albums Query filters assets by album grouping. Selecting an album will display only the assets that belong to that album, allowing you to curate content based on album-based collections or media sets—such as music, event recaps, or thematic bundles.

  • Multi Assets Slider
Displays multiple groups of assets together in one slider section, letting you feature several categories or series within one row.

  • Viewer Watch History (Resume Watching)
After a viewer has watched an asset and returns to the homepage, this section will appear to give them the option to continue watching.

  • Custom HTML Link
This section allows you to add completely custom content to your homepage using HTML code. This gives you the flexibility to display anything you want — such as a welcome message, images, buttons, or even embedded videos — right inside your Collection layout.

Auto Swipe:

Enables automatic scrolling (or “swiping”) of the slider row. When this is turned ON, the row will automatically move to the next set of videos after a set period of time — no user action required.

Auto Swipe Interval:

Controls how long the slider waits before automatically moving to the next item. The value is set in seconds.
For best practice:

  • 4–8 seconds is generally the most user-friendly interval. Less than 4 seconds can feel too fast and distracting, while more than 8 seconds may feel sluggish.
  • If you have longer video titles or descriptions in your row, choose a longer interval so users have time to read them.
  • For Hero Sliders or marketing banners, a slightly longer interval (8–10 seconds) often works well so viewers can engage with the message before it moves.
  • Always preview the row after adjusting the interval to ensure it feels natural for your content.

Slider Arrow Color:

Controls the color of the left/right arrows that allow users to scroll through the specific row horizontally.

Slider Arrow Background Color:

Controls the background color of the circular button that holds the slider arrows.

Slider Arrow Background Color Opacity:

Controls how transparent the background behind the arrows is.

  • 100 = fully solid
  • 0 = completely invisible
