# Set Up Sardius HLS Entrypoint (Video Tutorial)

> **Transcript:** In this video we are going to create default stream settings using Sardius HLS Entrypoint. Before you begin, please make sure you have one tab open for the Sardius Control Panel and another tab ready for your encoder. such as an Elemental or Kulabyte. If you're planning to use a Kulabyte for this method, you can also choose to pair the device with our system before moving on. Please see the tutorial linked on this page, for assistance in pairing that device. Let's begin. Select your channel by hovering over the image and click, “Go to calendar.” On the new sidebar, select Stream. If you have not enabled streaming for your channel, click enable streaming now. Once your channel is updated, click on Set Defaults. In the modal that appears, we will select serious entry points In the next step, you can select between a paired encoder or a manual setup. If you select a paired encoder, you will have the chance to adjust your settings before moving on. if you select a manual set up, our system will give you a primary entry point URL that you will need a copy and paste into your encoder setup. Please refer to your encoder’s specific instructions when adding this endpoint URL To copy this link, click on the clipboard icon as seen here. When your encoder setup is complete, click next. Take a moment to review your settings. Verify that your device Is shown in the source box, which is pointing to the output channel stream. If everything looks correct, click finish. This method will be used by all new events on your channel's calendar. If you selected a manual setup, make sure to access your encoder before your event is scheduled to go live and make sure that it is actively sending a feed. Otherwise, your viewers will not be able to watch your stream. And that's it. You have successfully set up your channel to stream using Sardius Entrypoint.
