Release 1.51

Stream Templates

Release 1.50 brought us the introduction of Stream Templates for the Sardius EMLA Encoder. Today, we are excited to announce that Templates have been expanded to include:

• AWS Elemental Live
• Makito X & X4 SRT Encoders

If you have one of these encoders, you can now create custom configurations for Sardius HLS Entrypoint using a paired AWS Elemental Live encoders, and create alternate SRT configurations for your paired Makito and Makito X4 encoders. 

And for those with Sardius EMLA Encoders, we've expanded and refined H265/HEVC support for Sardius HLS Entrypoint in order for live streams to play correctly in Apple and iOS devices.

We've also added in-panel notifications to guide your Template creation. Sardi will guide you to check various settings based on codecs or features based on your selections.

These new template types complete the foundation for an exciting new improvement coming in January 2026 with Release 1.52. 

 

Other Improvements

There are many other quality of life updates "under the hood" to help our system run smoother, cleaner, and more effective. These updates also helped us streamline a few processes, and continue staging for some major updates coming next year.
