Recommended Encoder Settings

For the uninitiated, the settings on an encoder can be very intimidating. For best practices, Sardius recommends using the below settings.

Frame Rate: Match your camera and/or video switcher frame rate.

- Any GOP size lower than 2 seconds will cause playback issues and buffering

Passphrase: We recommend all streams use a passphrase and be encrypted at AES-256.

Stream ID: We require streamId when sending SRT to Sardius Stream. If your encoder does not support these, please reach out to support.
