Guide to Sardius EMLA Encoder Pairing Prompts

Installing the AJA RPM

When a pairing attempt begins with a fresh EMLA encoder, the script will search for a valid AJA driver. 

Sample Prompt:

When prompted, enter yes. The AJA driver will be installed.

Do not install the driver(s) available on the AJA website. Please only use the AJA driver provided by EMLA and Sardius.

 

SMPTE 2110

If the script detects an Intel E-810 card, you will be asked if you want to install the firmware necessary for SMPTE 2110 inputs. If your device does not have an Intel E-810 card, you will not be able to use SMPTE 2110 inputs.

If you enter yes, installation will occur.

If you enter no, the script will ask you to confirm. 

Should you decide to not install the 2110 firmware at this time, and you later decide that you want to bring 2110 workflows into the Sardius platform, you will have to delete your EMLA encoder from our system and re-do the pairing process in order to get the firmware installed.

SMPTE 2110 is only supported with encoders that contain an Intel E-810 card.
