Interpreting Analytics:
- Total Plays: The total # of sessions initiated in the selected time period
- This is literally the # of times the “Play” button was pushed
- Unique Devices: The total # of users who started watching in the selected time period
- This is the best representation of total # of viewers, since it is based on unique IP addresses.
- Note: if viewers watched using multiple devices, this number may be inflated.
- Average Time: The average time watched of all completed media sessions within the selected time period
- The average length of time (in minutes) that viewers watched the selected sessions, within a specific time period
Filtering Your Search
Analytics are based on the specific filters you set for your search.
Select desired sessions By Time:
-
You can select a Date/Time range from the drop-down menu or use the “Custom Date Range” to set a specific time period.
-
Note: All times will reflect your local time, so if the event was hosted in a different time zone, you need to consider the time difference if using the Custom Date Range function. (If the event was scheduled from 12pm - 5pm CST, but I am in EST, I will use the time range 1pm - 6pm since the data will be pulled according to my local EST time zone).
-
-
Once you’ve selected your timeframe, all available video assets will be listed at the bottom of the page.
-
Note: If your event has a large number of sessions beyond our current capacity to display all real-time stats for the Date/Time range you have selected, we suggest narrowing your filter time range and video selection to see the specific sessions you are interested in.
-
Select desired sessions By Video:
- To filter by video, select the session you want to view from the “Filter By Video” drop-down menu.
- The selected option will show on the top of the page in Blue. All stats for the highlighted session during the selected time period will now show on this page.
- You can also select multiple Videos in order to overlay the results
- This feature allows you to view stats for one session or multiple sessions at once for comparison purposes.
- Select your first session as described above. Once you see it appear in Blue at the top of the page, repeat the step using the “Filter by Video” drop-down menu to add the sessions you want to compare.
Selecting multiple sessions provides both combined analytics and comparison features:
When selecting more than one session, the Totals Plays, Unique Devices & Average Times are aggregated.
For analytics on Engagement during a live event, reference the Average Active Media Sessions under the View option. This stat best captures the average viewership during the live event.
For Viewer Demographics, reference the Countries, States, & Cities options.
- Unique Devices best depicts the total # of viewers that watched. When selected with the Countries, States and Cities filters, it depicts the Global, Regional, and Local reach of your event.
- Average Time depicts the average length of time (in minutes) that viewers watched.
To view individual sessions, click on the title of the session to view the Total Plays, Unique Devices and Average Time (per minutes). You can also see stats for the Global and Regional reach.
For Technical stats, reference the Device Types, Operating Systems & Browsers tab options above the graph. These analytics may be helpful to your event Tech Support team as they prepare for an event debrief.
