Pages (Collection 2.0)

The Pages area of your Collection 2.0 layout controls the individual views that make up your channel — such as your Assets page, List page, or Custom HTML page. Each page type defines how content is displayed and how viewers navigate through your media.

Caution: You must create a Page before linking to it in the Header navigation.

  2. Click + Add to create a new page or click on the Pencil to edit

  3. Turn Enabled ON to make the page live.

  4. Add a Title (the display name) and a URL Route (the page path, such as /featured or /watchlist).

  5. Choose a Page Type to define the layout and functionality.

  6. Adjust the settings based on the selected type.

You can also use the Export and Import buttons to copy page configurations between layouts.

Page Types

Each page type offers unique display and configuration options.

  • Multi Assets Page

Displays multiple sections of grouped assets such as Categories, Series, or Albums.
Each group appears as a row within the page.

    Settings include:

    • Image Type: Choose Poster or Thumbnail to define how media artwork displays.

    • Multi Asset Type: Choose whether to group by Categories, Series, or Albums.

    • Query Type: Choose between All Results or filtered results to refine what content appears.

    Example:
Create a “Categories (Poster)” page to show all category groups using poster-style images, or a “Categories (Thumbnail)” page to use smaller thumbnails for a denser layout.

  • List Page

Allows you to hand-pick specific assets to feature, such as “Staff Picks” or “Featured Sermons.”

This type doesn’t rely on categories or tags—it’s fully curated by you.

    Settings include:

    • Top Background Image: Adds an image banner at the top of the page.

    • Featured Assets: Manually select assets to display in the list.

    Example:
A Featured page might include selected videos or messages with a custom top banner image.

  • Watch List Page

Displays the viewer’s personalized saved items.
No customization is needed — this page automatically shows assets users have added to their watchlist from other pages.

    Settings include:

    • Title and URL Route only.
There are no style or content settings for this type.

  • Custom HTML Page

Provides a blank page where you can design custom content using HTML. This is ideal for announcements, event promotions, or embedded widgets.

    Settings include:
    • Custom HTML Content: Paste or edit your HTML code in the Modify HTML window.
    • Supports basic tags like <a>, <img>, <p>, <div>, and inline styles.

Example:
Create a page titled “/html” and use HTML to display a promotional banner, image, or video embed.

Pages vs. Header Links

  • Pages define the actual content and structure (what appears).

  • Header Links define navigation (how viewers reach those pages).

For example:
Create a “Featured” page first, then go to Header → Add Link → Route: /featured to make it visible in your top navigation bar.

Best Practices

  • Keep route names short and lowercase (e.g., /featured, /categoriesposter).

  • Do not use spaces in your route names.
  • Use descriptive page titles that match header labels.
  • Always preview after changes to confirm links and page layouts work as expected.

  • Use the Export/Import feature to duplicate page configurations across collections or layouts.
