# 2-3. Manage Outputs and Devices

**Video**

> **Transcript:** In this video, we'll talk about managing devices and outputs, which are two features available exclusively to customers using Sardius Stream. This service allows you to pair an encoder, called a device, and stream to multiple destinations beside your Sardius channel, such as YouTube and Facebook. If a device is paired with our system, the Sardius Control Panel will be able to control that device remotely, and start and stop your stream. To see what devices can be paired with our system, please review our supported encoders article in our knowledge base. This video will assume that you already have devices and outputs connected to our system. If you need to pair a device, please refer to the appropriate walkthrough in our knowledge base. Let's start by taking a look at a paired device by locating Devices in our sidebar under Stream. This list will contain all devices that have been paired with your account. To manage your device, click on it and the information pane will open. Here you can change the name of your device, relevant information such as the model, serial number, network address, the firmware version, how long it's been running, and whether the device is offline or in use. You can also choose to limit this device to be used on a single channel. This is handy if you're an organization with satellite locations and each has its own device and channel. By limiting the device to a single channel, you can prevent another channel from accidentally using it. If the device is limited to a channel, you will also see all events scheduled on that channel here. To remove the device from your account, click on the three dots next to the close button at the top and select delete device. Next, let's take a look at outputs. Sardius Stream users are able to set up outputs for YouTube, Facebook, SRT and RTMP destinations. You can access your library of outputs by selecting Outputs from the sidebar. Here you will see a complete list of your outputs, and their type can be easily identified by their icon. Facebook and YouTube are easy to spot. Click on the output you wish to edit. With RTMP and SRT outputs, you can change the name, description, the URL and stream key. You can also choose to limit the output to be used on a single channel. Facebook and YouTube accounts can be edited as well, but you will only be able to change certain options that are available to you. If you discover that you connected the wrong YouTube channel or Facebook page to this output, you will need to create a new output. If you recently updated your YouTube or Facebook password, you may need to re-authenticate in order to allow this output to continue using your page or channel. Any changes to these outputs will be reflected in any Sardius channel that is using your outputs, but only for the next time that they are used. If the output is currently in use, the change will not be reflected until the next event. Congratulations. You can now successfully manage and use your devices and outputs with Sardius Stream. We'll see you in the next video.

In this video, Sardius Stream users will learn how to control and diagnose devices that are paired with their account. Sardius Stream users will also learn how to manage and update RTMP, SRT, Facebook, and YouTube outputs.
