# 10. Manage Your Live Event

**Video**

> **Transcript:** Welcome back to our onboarding video series. In the last video, we helped you schedule your first event. In this video, we'll show you how you can manage your event while it is live. Let's start by accessing your Channel’s event calendar. As your event starts, a dark blue bar will appear at the top of your calendar. We call this the Live Event Manager and the options vary based on your streaming settings. For all users, this manager will contain a preview player, the name of your event and edit option, a timer and options to extend and end your event. Sardius Stream users will have a few additional options, such as the ability to see information from their encoder as well as all of their streaming outputs. Every event is managed by our event timer. The countdown will show how much time is remaining in your stream. If your event has pre and post roll as part of its schedule, those will be accounted for in this countdown as well. Let's say your speaker is running over and you don't want to cut them off. To add time, enter a number, and then press the plus button. If you need to subtract time. You can simply enter a negative number and then hit the plus sign. Adjusting the end time for your event will not affect your viewers as your channel is constantly talking to the player and will keep it online until your event officially ends. If you need to end your event for any reason, simply click the end event button. The manager will give you a chance to confirm that you actually want to end your event. Once you've confirmed, your event will end and all of your viewers will be disconnected. As mentioned before, Sardius Stream users have some additional options. The first is the ability to check the health of their paired encoder. The name of their encoder will be shown below the event name and will have a status icon next to it. Green for good health and red for not. Clicking on the encoder’s name will present some status information, and, if needed, a way to remotely start the encoder. Next to this are the streaming outputs for the event. Each output will have a status ring that indicates whether it's live, offline, or trying to connect. With the exception of the channel stream, if you're having trouble getting an output to connect, you have the option to stop and restart the output. And if you forgot to add an output before the event went live, you can easily add one by clicking the plus button in the modal, you can add any output from your library that is currently not being used. Or you can quickly add any RTMP or SRT output. Once you click add, the event manager will instantly start connecting to that destination, and will deliver the feed once the connection is established. Congratulations. You have now learned how to successfully use the live event manager. We'll see you in the next video.

In this episode of our Onboarding Tutorials, you will learn how to manage your live event using the Live Event Manager.
